Welcome to the Home page of Secrets of the Grail Landscape. This site reveals for the first time the Glastonbury Zodiac effigies from space using satelite images of Earth. The legendary Zodiacal Ark landscape of King Arthur and his Twelve Knights of the round table.
This landscape has had many names over the centuries, it was also known as the City of Revelation, New Jerusalem, Middle Earth, Caer Sidin, Land of Logres, Avalon, and the Celtic Cauldron to name just a few legends spun from the cloth of this land in Somerset.
There are many layers of history in this one incredible landscape, one does not negate the other, as each soul has its own relationship with the land. The brilliant works of Katherine Maltwood and Mary Caine and many others have left a legacy, it was their quest, to to bring the truth of this great matter of Britain, sung about by the old bards, to the world. Is this Zodiac a world heritage site? not yet. I think the visual impact of this book will realise a part of the Grail Landscape for everyone. I have interpreted these effigies in keeping with the traditional lines first, however I also offer some alternatives.

Click on each chapter to the right, to see the nature effigies in the ground, from space using satelite images of Earth.

This project is an ongoing investigation of the Glastonbury Zodiac effigies.  It answers the very basic question, Does the Zodiac exist? Many find it difficult to imagine a Zodiac at all! Not suprising, what is it? and what does it look like? This site is a huge thirty one miles around, and is planisphere correct, that is, when the Zodiac was built 4,600 years ago, the constellations in the sky mirrored the effigies in the ground. Some say it is imagination, I think so, as without imagination how can anything exist. So as an astronomer I decided to complete the vision, I looked at star charts and then searched for the locations on the ground. This way I made some interesting discoveries of my own…

The story of Capricorn is an example of how my re-discoveries came from looking at starmaps, stars and star charts.  In this way, I was able to identify the fish-tail of Capricornus the Goatfish in its effigy at Ponters Ball.  Read the chapter on Capricorn to learn more.

My story also describes exploration of Aquarius, represented by the Chalice Well.  The Tor and Chalice Well are within an enormous Vesica Pisces, see map. An important ancient neolithic symbol used for predicting eclipses. Find out how it works. And how with the precession of the Earth the stars of Pisces now sit two thousand years later over this site.  You can read about this in the chapters on Aquarius and Pisces.

I was interested in the Phoenix in the ground at Glastonbury because the celestial Phoenix is not visible from Glastonbury´s latitude.  Does the Glastonbury Phoenix symbolize resurrection and rebirth?  Is it here as a symbol of the Melchizadek / Michael Zadok priests, known as the immortals?  You can learn about these intriguing possibilities in the chapter about Phoenix.

There are many other Effigies present in this Zodiac, all have their own myths or traditions, depending on which layer of history you look at, including a Hawk or griffon, a Unicorn, a Dog, the Finger of the Law, an Egyptain Crown, a sea monster called Cetus, a round Table with three drops of water, an Egyptian reed symbol, and the symbol of Awen, three bars of Light. These pages are under construction as the adventure continues…

Each sign has a story to tell…Grailsmith.
